Hayze is learning to use some comparative measurement language to describe the ordering or comparing of objects and events e.g. big, bigger, biggest , long, longer, longest, heavy, heavier, heaviest, tall, taller, tallest

During our maths lesson we were putting cars down a tube, race tunnel, to see whose vehicle traveled the longest distance with one push.  We discussed whose went the shortest distance and whose traveled the same distance.  Once a week we do an activity that requires the use of comparative language.  In week one each of the students were given a length of string and had to put in in order from the longest to the shortest.   And in week two we put a range of containers in order from the smallest to the biggest.  Throughout the term Hayze will be given the opportunity to practice using comparative language.
