Hayze has been learning to use some comparative measurement language to describe the ordering or comparing of objects and events e.g. big, bigger, biggest , long, longer, longest, heavy, heavier, heaviest, tall, taller, tallest
Hayze is consistently able to identify the biggest from the smallest, the longest and the shortest. We will continue to work on the heaviest and the lightest as well as continuing to reinforce this new learning for Hayze. Good work Hayze!

Hayze is learning to look at the pictures in his story book to work out what the words say.
Each Tuesday and Thursday Hayze reads his book to his buddy from Room 10, and she reads her story to him. Hayze enjoys this time each week and it will continue until the end of the year. Great reading Hayze!
Hayze is learning to look at the letter at the beginning of a word to help him sound out familiar text.
Hayze is learning to play a game of letter dominoes where he has to look at he beginning of the word, which is supported by a picture, to find another domino that begins with the same letter to match. Also Hayze is learning to play high frequency word bingo which requires that he looks at the beginning of each word. These activities will become a part of Hayze's literacy programme until the end of term.
