Hayze has been learning to accept ‘No’ as an answer, by staying calm and then moving onto another task. (without an adverse reaction), once a day.

End of year review:
Mostly Hayze listens and watches before he makes a loud noise as a reaction to something that is said or done.  He will respond to a gentle reminder and is then quiet.  It is rare that we have a very loud adverse reaction now. Mostly we are able to reason with Hayze.

Hayze is learning to to initiate and play a game with a peer

Hayze is learning how to initiate play with a peer in an appropriate way.  By taking part in a structured group activity Hayze is learning how to share and take turns.  Hayze especially enjoys our Sensory volume programme.  We will continue providing opportunities for Hayze to take part in structured activities to enjoy with his peers.
