Hayze is learning about sea creatures

Hayze is able to recall simple facts about sharks.  He paid close attention to where the eyes and mouth were located on a shark.  Hayze enjoyed creating his shark art work.

Hayne is learning to identify and write the initial sounds of the words he writes in his story.

Hayze is learning to make sets/groups and add them together.

Hayze has made two sets/groups of sharks and added them together.  We will practice making sets/groups so that Hayze understands that a set/group can be represented by a number.  We will make 2,3 and 4 sets/groups.

Hayze is learning to participate in small group work or play with minimum support

Hayze is learning to play with his peers without it resulting in conflict, due to differing personalities and them wanting to play with the same toy or object.  During the day there are opportunities for Hayze to play with his peers with guidance from adults.  He is learning to turn take, share, problem solve and use his words.  This will be an ongoing goal for the rest of the year as there is a lot involved with having to get along with your peers.
